Well hey there! Huge apology for the lack of posts lately, school work is slowly taking over my life and leaving me with a non-existent social life and seriously sleep deprived. I wanted to make a commitment to myself to do a monthly favourites but I don't think that's ever going to be possible with my combination of laziness and an never-ending pile of work, so I thought I'd just drop a quick mention of what I've been using lately. So it isn't a lot but here are some recent discoveries of products/stuff I've become completely obsessed with starting with the Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush in 'Not An Illusion'. This is great to wear on a day-to-day basis or for a school day look as it just gives a tint of colour but isn't too glossy. It has a very sweet/chocolatey smell and I pretty much wear it everyday recently. Next beauty related product I adore (which is no surprise) is the Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder. I got it as part...

Daisy by Marc Jacobs / The Body Shop Eau De Toilette

Image
Well hey there! So January has finally gone, and good riddance because spring/summer can't come any sooner! As my little reminder of the warmer months, I've been indulging in two gorgeous scents, Daisy by Marc Jacobs (of course) and my new discovery thanks to my sister, The Body Shop Eau De Toilette in Moringa. Most people know the lovely collection of perfumes Marc Jacobs has but I will forever stay faithful to Daisy and has always been a stern favourite of mine. This is a 50ml bottle from Debenhams, and if you aren't a fan of the smell (how could you not!) the packaging alone amazing, you can't go wrong with some white and gold flowers. With its sweet but sophisticated scent this perfume always brings me back to summer. The next scent I've been obsessed with this month is The Body Shop Eau De Toilette in Moringa. It's perfect if you need a little spritz throughout the day. My sister bought this for me for Christmas along with some other Body Sh...

No 7 Beautifully Matte Foundation

Image
Well hey there! Another quick post today about something I've wanted to review for a while but thought I'd give it a fair chance before doing so. No 7 is never a brand I usually go for when it comes to make-up, especially foundation so I thought I would give it a go as it's a brand my mum uses often and looks lovely on her. However, I wish I could say the same for myself as I find this foundation pretty horrible. When I first put it on I  noticed the smell immediately and it was vile. My normal foundations are usually odourless or at least smell good like the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, but this has a really strong, almost paint-like smell which wasn't very forgiving when I applied it around my nose. The texture is very thick and felt heavy on my skin and although on the packaging it claims it has 'Up to 14 hours shine free complexion and a soft, even finish' it just sank into my skin during the day, resulting in breakouts and left my skin looking ...

My 2014 Wish List

Image
Well hey there! So I've been a little late with putting this up since we're almost half way through January now, but I've thought long and hard and finally decided on things I really want and can realistically afford over this year. These are the things I want to buy and do with my own money before the year is up, but I know all this will only happen with some strict saving, which unfortunately I am terrible at:-( Any who, here they are. Canon EOS 1000d SLR Camera I've always wanted a Canon camera and this year is the year I will splurge out and get one. This year I'm going to New York, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean and so with all the travelling I want to document and photograph all the things I'll see with a proper camera, not just my iPhone. So I've decided on the 1000d instead of the typical and very popular 600d because I'm definitely a beginner when it comes to photography plus the 1000d is much cheaper and is perfect for what I want it for....

The Liebster Award

Image
Well hey there! I'm very excited to announce that I have been nominated by three beautiful bloggers for the Liebster award,  Nia ,  Ellie  and  Nicole  thank you girls! The Liebster award is a completely new concept to me as I'm relatively new to blogging and think it's such a great idea, especially for giving more recognition to newer blogs. Liebster is a German word that means dearest or valued or lovely but has a few other means all fairly related. Here are a quick set of rules:- Mention the person who nominated you with a link in their blog Answer the 11 questions provided by the person who nominated you Nominate 11 other bloggers with less than 200 followers Create a new set of 11 questions for you nominees to answer Nia's Questions 1. Benefit They're Real! Mascara

Image
Well hey there! I thought I'd slip in a blog post between homeworks and coursework and tell you all about this unbelievable mascara from Benefit. Benefit is my favourite brand of make-up and always produces amazing products and so I can't rave about this mascara enough and encourage anyone who is looking for a new mascara to definitely give this a try.  I wear this mascara everyday and it never fails to make my lashes look amazing (if I do say so myself). It ticks all the boxes for length, volume and curl and the 'jet-black' colour stands out no matter how long you wear it. Whenever I use a mascara that isn't waterproof I always end up with black smudges under my eyes which always use to annoy me and made it so difficult to find a good mascara, but with Benefit They're Real! mascara I've never had this problem which really surprised, because it was the first non-waterproof mascara that I could wear all day without any smudges. This i...

Winter Lookbook

Image
Well hey there! Thought I'd give this a whirl and show you all some of the outfits I've been completely obsessed with over this winter. I like to mix and match clothes hence why I'm wearing the same pieces in some of the photos and I don't exactly have oodles to spend either especially after Christmas. This is a mixture of casual wear and things I'd wear on a daily basis and a night-out outfits. Both the dresses shown here are from Primark and they are great to throw on to dress up a little but still look casual, the shoes I've paired with them are my favourite thing ever, and they're from Missguided. They have a short heel and are surprisingly comfy, Missguided is just the best place for shoes. The jeans I'm wearing in these photos are the Mom Jeans from Topshop and they are the comfiest pair of jeans I've ever had!! They go with so many pieces and I added the black belt myself to 'finish off the look', this is such a good cas...
